How It All Got Started
I saw it, and I had to have it, proclaims Junky Trunk co-founder Kadence Bawden. What she had to have was a vintage Rebel Yell T-shirt worn by Jessica Simpson, problem was no one seemed to carry it. Not one to give up easily, Kadence eventually tracked down 50 of the elusive garments, and partnering with her mother Audrey, parlayed the find into a burgeoning web-based clothing business. That's what got this whole party started, Audrey says with a smile.
Junky Trunk features more than 40 lines in all "many new and exclusive to the Valley, including ShiShi, Bad Grammar and Jessica Simpson Shoes. Prices range from $32 tops by Project E, to $270 "Make love not War denim jeans by Frankie B. While some mens items are available the emphasis is on womens casual clothing, shoes and accessories, targeting the affluent, fashion-conscience consumer, age 15-80. A wide variety of sizes are always in stock, and special orders are available.
